Hi there, I have worked on number of keywords for SEO and while doing link exchange how to distribute these keywords in the links (anchor) text. Currently I am using only 1 keyword in the title of the links text that points to my home page. I want to know how to distribute all the keywords in the links text and how many keywords we can use per link's title? I will appreciate any help in this regard Bbashir
The number of keywords that you use in a link aren't technically limited. It all depends upon where you will be using them. For example you may purchase a text link and the webmaster may allot you 5 to 7 words. Make wise use of the limits and utilize all the words allowed. Reply with a list of your most important keywords and I will try to give a more developed answer.
Hi there, I mean to say one keyword phrase per link. If I have couple of keywords and I want good ranking for them then how should I use them in the links text. Please advise.
to rank good for a keyphrase (or -word), you want good inbound links with the keyphrase as the anchor text. If you have multiple keyphrases you target (who doesnt), simply repeat this.. so get links for each keyphrase, don't go stuffing all your keyphrases into 1 link..
I agree with that. Use your keywords wisely, as I said before, but dont just string out a line of keywords. Be sure that they make sense. Example "Learn how to train your dog" makes sense and uses 3 good keywords
Having alot of text in an archor tag ain't the brightest thing, of course you can't aim for the keyword "myspace" which is 1st global, but you can try something like "free myspace layouts", having too much text just lowers the weight of the keywords in the phrase.
Also it is mentioned to put your keyword/s at the beginning of the title text, where possible of course, i know its not always possible to do that and have it make sense when read back.
You must have a main keyword for your site (or in a certain page if you want deep links). Then build links if you have picked your main keyword.
