How to manage advertisers?

Discussion in 'Pay Per Click Advertising' started by szkoda, Sep 24, 2008.

I've been approached by a company/website that want to advertise on my site and they've said they are willing to pay me $20 for every 1000 hits.

My question is how do I go about tracking a 1000 impressions/hits and giving them some sort of access so they know I'm not making up the numbers as I go along.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

If they approached you about buying advertising space then it is likely they know how to track the traffic. ;)

Otherwise they would be putting their money at risk.

So I should just put their link up, monitor the traffic values, then ask for the money when its reached 1000 hits?

Adbutler.com is good for what you want. However you either have to pay for it or let them server 7.5% of there own ads on your banners.

I use it and think its worth the 7.5% of there own ads.

    Thanks

I have used OpenAds for years. It's very powerful and sophisticated program, maybe more than what you need.

I like the look and feel of Google Ad Manager

Some of the others listed by people look a bit shady.

You should start using your own ad serving system. This may be not the last advertiser, that’s why it’s better to use a professional ad serving software.
One of the best up-to-date scripts is SmartPPC EVO (smartppcevo.com).
It provides a great variety of control functions over your advertisers. You’ll manage all the advertisements from your Control Panel and advertisers will manage their ads campaigns from Advertiser Control Panel. You can create your own Flat Rate, CPM , CPC(will be released in a couple of weeks) prices for advertising on your site.
Publishers module will come soon. Imagine how much revenue you can get if your Publishers will help you to serve ads of your advertisers.
