As you may know, Twitter is one of the most common tools to help you drive traffic to your site, and thus increase your sales. Maybe you have thousands of followers, but how to make the followers see your tweet? And how to make them click the links on your Tweets is not an easy thing. Do you have any tips?

Make sure that your followers are legit, not just some bots or fake accounts. Then make sure you also send out useful tweets once in a while, don't spam followers with links in every tweet, make 2-3 tweets, then a tweet with a link/ad, then 2-3 tweets again and repeat :)
Make your profile look legit and not spammy, same goes with the text you use with your ad. Don't make it sound like a commercial, make it sound legit.

Read my signature for a guide on the subject, if you are interested in twitter marketing, it is really cheap and gives you all the info needed :)

Yes, for most optimal results you should target a specific niche, like travelling or baby care etc. However if he already have followers now, he probably haven't done that. But it is a very good advice for people who are starting out with twitter marketing. It will take some more time to build followers when targeting a specific niche, but will yield much more cash in the long run.

I can attest to the quality tweets theme in this thread. I have a twitter account with 11000 followers, but made the mistake of spamming them with links. Now they are completely unresponsive.

Ah well. Back to the drawing board!

Thanks for your good advise @bloms.
I think the important thing is you must bring benefit to other people first, then they will bring benefit back to you.

Switch grounds for a second, now think of yourself as the follower and I'm sure you are following something of your interest, what do you hate seeing in Twitter, don't do that and you are in a better shape than before, now think about what they care about what they find funny or worth spending time to watch. Great quality tweets will get you clicks!

Make sure the people you are following and the people following you all have the same interests and are genuine. No matter how good your tweets are, people won't look at them if they're not real themselves!...It's quite a problem really...

Build a persona/pen name and a blog for your niche. Study top flight bloggers like T. Ferriss and Ramit Sethi and how they use their accounts.

Share funny, witty, and interesting resources with your list. Only pitch them once you build up some 'good karma".

yes i have seen many accounts whose followers become unresponsive for being spammy. even you r links should be relevant to your followers. you should know the taste of your followers and then put such links which they gonna love to click.

Some times you have to break the rules and do a SPAMMY Tweet if you are frustrated with not getting to much attention. Just do it one time per week and do not overreact to much. ex. GREAT your tweet message CLICK > I use caps and I get 3 times more visits in a tweet like this.

Also you can get free RT's from others. Just search around. :)

    Thank you.
