Usually need to leave at least a gap. I add the pics in my left and right columns with the ads nearby in the main content.

I'll try this on my affilate links they pay much more and would not mind. I think adsense sucks make 3K a month on affilate marketing and only 100 on adsense
Yep, once I'm happy with my traffic I'm going to switch from GA to affiliate links. The way I see it, every click that earns me a few cents from GA has the potential to earn me 100 times that amount by being an affiliate for the link they are clicking.
