I'm having the same issue. It seems yahoo is quicker to pick up backlinks but takign forever to index. google has me fully indexed but none of my backlinks.

submit urllist.txt to yahoo. It will help to improve your index pages on yahoo.

Weirdly Yahoo seem to work better for me than Google. You could try to do your usual SEO stuffs to see if it improves the situation.

Site Explorer API: Notifying Yahoo of Changes
Tell the Yahoo! Index when you have new content available.
The Update Notfication service allows you to notify Yahoo! when your site changes. You may notify us about a single page, or a set of pages that need attention.

    Sample Request Url: hxxp://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/updateNotification?appid=YahooDemo&url=http://www.yahoo.com

    Things that work for me:

    manually submit site
    or
place links to site at site that is already fine indexed

Exactly the same problem here: Google indexed twice as many pages compared to Yahoo or MSN.

i heard that if you post links to the yahoo answers section they will get indexed faster. I have been experimenting with this, some people claim it takes only 1-2 days to get it indexed

Has anyone tested to see if sitemap.xml in robots.txt will get MSN/Live to index more of your site?

In my experience, MSN was first to index my site, followed by Y!, and finally big G came lumbering along. Best thing I can say is to make sure you have adequate links to your pages from other parts of your site.
