Use CamStudio. It is a free software that captures the screen activity and stores it as a video file. Just create a PowerPoint presentation and capture it as a video using CamStudio. If you want a more professional program, you can use Camtasia Studio. Its a commercial program with a free trial version. You can host your videos for free at ScreenCast .com

Thank you guys ... I think I'll buy camtisia I'm not looking for free stuff .

What I do looking for is kind of a formula on how to do good video tutorials ... including ... content research for example. Plus I want to learn how to deliver the content the best way to my audience.

FxKid : Thank you for the screencast.com recommendation I wasn't familiar with that service .

Used them all, I like JING the best for what is affordable. Of course Captivate is great, but no way I am throwing down that type of money.

I would also start with camstudio. Later on you can still buy camtasia studio. For a simple video tutorial camstudio will do the trick.

I go for CamStudio too. It's free but you need to install it :)
I think Jing can be used on the internet browser and do not require any installation. :)

I would recommend camtasia. And for the the video tutorials themselves, I would probably use voice-over if you can afford it unless you have a Good voice.

Some video tutorials are impossible to understand ;p

I don't even use PowerPoint. I make screen capture vids just by showing what I'm doing on the screen. Some people use Jing and that works good too. To be honest with you, I've made some great videos just with Paint and Windows Movie Maker.

Also, GFX Video Writer is a little bit less quality than Camtasia, but does the job. It is definitely worth $24! The voice-over is a little less than desireable though.

    It's very simple.

    1-Do your research
    2-Write a simple script.
    3-Make your story board
4-Find your images for your story board
    5-Record your video
    6-Narrate your video
7-Edit it as much as you want
8-Export it to the format you want
9-Rest until you need to make your next video.

Ho just remembered one of the most important steps
10-Promote your tutorial video like crazy ... you can create a short promotional vid to promote your tutorial vid ... :) I hope this helps

    David

By the way if you want more feedback, you could just post a link to a sample of your vid and I would be more than happy to give you some tips.
