If you use adwords and want to be first then you need to increase your budget for that keyword.

If you want be at first page without adwords then you need to increase your page rank which is a difficult thing. Your site must be more popular. To be more popular you need links from high page ranked sites.

One of the first things that you need to understand is exactly how the entire Google pay per click marketing system works. You need to choose keywords that are relevant to your website, upload them into the system and then write a small ad that will appear along with the search engine results for your particular keywords. You're also going to need to place a bid that will determine, in part, where your ad will be displayed in relation to all of the other ads for that particular keyword.

Before increasing bids, increase quality. Look at Quality Score on your keywords. You want it to be at least a 7.

Use more specific keywords. The one you mention is too general. Are you aware of the different keyword match types?

Are your keywords judged relevant? That will cost 2-3 points of your QS. Looking at your site, my guess is that Google will find little text there to properly determine relevancy.

Your original question is very vague. More details needed. Many reasons you would not see your ads. But maybe your budget is too low and you are not showing for all the times people search your terms as you are reaching it. Not a good idea to look for your ads on Google itself, use google.com/adpreview instead. It won't affect your stats and quality.

As Bob said, you need to learn and understand the system. My Adwords FAQ has some answers.
