knowledge, experience, confidence and smart working can make a successful businessman.. first of all confidence is very important for your business growth...
Skils Brains Hard work Time/patience But such question has no exacy answer anybody suceeds in it's own way ..
This is summary of the qualities that were mentioned: Honesty/Integrity Hard work/Self Discipline Intelligence /Knowledge Confidence Persistence/Focus The first 3 are easy The next 2 -Confidence and Persistence/ Focus is not so easy. You can be confident when you first start out but when you hit obstacle/stumbling block can you remain confident? Which is why another 2 very important qualities not mentioned are: 1) Passion 2) Ability to overcome adversity/ Toughness. Passion is extremely important cos if you do not have passion or really love what you do, it is difficult to work hard and remain persistent. The ability to overcome adversity is another rare quality that top entrepreneurs have. Which is why you see many top businessmen are those who have really overcome suffering in early life like the Jews who escape Holocaust, the immigrants from poor countries to America. Or nowadays for the tech startups, it is people who really struggled and suffered working with bare minimum in startup companies like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs who start their business in garages. Sure there are people who do not have many of above qualities and still become multi millionaire like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian But they are beautiful and scandalous which are qualities that can make money these days also

I think what most people who are posting replies are referring to is "core values." If the core values of the organization support its mission, then it will likely be successful. Consider the core values of Nazi Germany (about 13 years of life even with all the effort and intellect promoting it, imploding *just a few* years ahead of its 1000-year scheduled term) versus those of the US Constitution (survived a civil war, not perfect but 230+ years of existence and continuing). Look at the core values of Apple: innovation is definitely high up on or topping the list. Belief in the mission, whatever it is, is also a vital factor--whether it's something awful like ridding Europe of "undesirables" or uplifting like toppling Apartheid, this belief is what keeps the individual metaphorically or actually marching on through the long, cold, dark night towards the goal.
knowledge and luck are true...The others,in my opinion, are : characters of persistence, willingness to learn, never give up,hard working, creative and many more..
Relentless persistance patience a 'can do' attitude being willing to sacrifice your 'free time' (if you're not working more than the typical 9-5 m-f on your business, then you have no chance) ability to delegate and 'let go' of certain aspects to concentrate and continue working on the bigger picture there are hundreds of things, but at the end of the day... if you KNOW you can succeed, then you WILL succeed if you work your arse off to get it.
definetly signed sounds hard but some people just have the talent to sell stuff and some don't find your way and you can make it
Be ruthless. In business nothing is personal, its all about making money. Don't get attached to certain products/services/people/employees.
knowledge, risk taker, doer the basic saying is work hard, perfect ability and skill, familiar with that line, adventure spirit and strong mind to work hard
