How to make site load faster ?

Hi,

I am currently working on my site. But I think it's taking some time to load(there are very few images though). Can you people give me some suggestions on what kind of things I can do make it load faster ?

Thanks for the link ..I just checked it for some of my pages and it gave my following warnings

and the page size is 68 KB which will take 8 seconds to load

What do you people do in such cases ?

 

As for your pictures, resize them or lower it's resolution. Hope it helps.

 

If you're using a database, add indexes to the appropriate fields. That helped a lot on my site.
