Sincerely, there are no other ways but to study each files one by one, understand how stuffs works with phpld, then its your job to know how to implement a design to the phpld structure... it's not really easy but well with time you will make it, it took me a week to figure out how phpld works :p

Look at the smarty codes if you don't kno smarty ! other than that its a very bad idea to implant your own images into a coded design because it is seen by many that they just put their picture and change the color and think they made a new template so they change all the designer / sponsor links. ..

very bad idea because if you get caught by stealing a design (even though u didn't mean to / or didn't know that was stealing) your reputation will be effected greatly.

my advice to you is make a simple.. very very simple .psd and learn the html if you dont know it.

Than use the smarty codes from any template for the image and such ... and than see if it works ... if it does than make a little bit complicated design and than work your way up.

    Goood luck

You should start by learning photoshop, get the software and then start doing tutorials from around the web. I have put in around 100 hours and am starting to get the hang of it. Coding is another story, I have still not found the time to learn any Dreamweaver but it is next on my list of things to do.

Have posted the basic initial stage of coding phpld template. Had an accident today on way to work, so spent only few minutes on the tutorial, so will be adding more later on each day. Keep Checking it out if you want to learn how to code. Questions are welcome and if someone wants to post their work they did are more than welcome to post on the same thread we will try to code the template with different users work and hoping it becomes more like a truly interactive tutorial.

    Regards

It is always good to know there are people willing to teach others what they know (free or paid).

    Thanks
