How to make people write on my forum?

I have created a new forum website for about 1 month, and nobody seems to write on my forum even new threads get their replies and answers right away. What should I need to do?

I do not own a forum but I have an idea you might want to try.

If you want people to post in your forum, first you go post in
other people's forum, as simple as that.

Then you direct the traffic to you forum from there.
Focus on building rapport by offering quality content.

That is right. I agree with you. The first you have to join the others and then they will come back to join yours.

this is a good suggestion overall....
but one thing you should more do, write on some problems and issues and then also provide answers there, this would also increase the credibility of your forum..

One way is to post an article or thread where you discuss a topic of interest to your target audience. Something thought-provoking or perhaps controversial issue.

End it with an open question like: "What is your opinion? Let us know!" etc, essentially inviting the audience to get interactive.

You can also see if your forum software supports award systems where posters get points for posting, replying, starting threads, etc. If you then ensure they can use those points for some priviledge, it might entice people to get more active, too :)

Well I have own some some good traffic forums! i have started advertising on some big forums!
First i started answering some question on forums and posted some good articles and then on my sig i added the link of my website (forum) and the people have see my good rank on that big forum and have started visiting my forum,
So i have added some contest for a price or asked people "what do you think?" as SchmitzIT has told you! and you must be everyday active and dont let any thread unposted!

It's almoust like when you need some comments on your blog, well you post comments to other blogs first. And I agree with @SchmitzIT, you should posts some subjects, questions and let the audience get interactive. You should do a litlle bit of everything, even advertising, or maybe a prise or something like that for the first one who reaches 100 posts or something like that, can be a great ideea.

Well you can post on others forums to get users to jump over to your forum, you can also do blog commenting. But I like using sites like fiverr to pay someone to post on a forum, it's the cheapest way in my opinion and many of the gigs offer up a lot of posts for the $5. But I'd go with posting and commenting on other sites. ;)

Your forum must have some good topics which will seem interesting to the users and they will comment and make new post. there are no other alternative which works. So you have to concentrate on this part.

    Good luck!

create some accounts and start some conversations. create ten accounts and make some good posts with some good back and forth communication. People wont join a dead forum, there are a lot of people willing to post on your forum too for $$. Once your forum is going it should be much easier.

    Hello Hurdanstore,

There are two way to spread your forum to all I think.

    1. You can offer some money as so many forum owners offer as christianeverything(.)org and so many $1.5,$2, for 5 posts, 10 posts etc. Once one registered he will use it and will continue to post threads.

    2. Send Invitation to around Hundreds of people. Off-course 20-30 person in 100 will register to your forum.

If you need contacts to invite then you can call me. In my contact lists there are around 13thousands people added, those are doing link selling, link buying, link exchange, web site owner, business man, etc.

    Good Luck

    Hello,

I, like many other users, do not own a forum, but I feel a forum can be treated much like any social media outlet for which you are trying to gain more followers. You need to have some intriguing nugget or attraction for the potential user. Showcase your talents as a business through linking your website, and any social media or blog posts for which you already have useful information for users. Good luck with your forum! :)

If I were you, I will create multiple accounts (maybe around 100 accounts), post many thread and then hire someone to actually post reply to make interactive. And then invite people with high post from your competitor forums and maybe give them moderator level in return for signature links.

To get people to contribute on your forums, some people pay members to start up forum topics to fuel conversations
