how to make oscommerce search result page url static?

    how to make oscommerce search result page url static?
    like www.nextag.com does,
    whatever your type a word to search, the site will produce static html url instead of ? included.

    Why? A search engine can't run a search queery and should have the returned page in it's index anyways? Why do you need to worry about canonical URLs?

    I find "www.nextag.com/electric-kettle/search-html" on first page.

    Look up how URL rewriting works in htaccess and you can do it without any changes to search.php
