Hi guys. I just started a new board, I got some forum posters and they made some threads. But how can I make my unpaid members to post ?

Do you have any ideas ? I know about paying forum posters but I would like to hear other methods too.

    Thanks !

Is it the webmaster forum in your sig ?
Try to offer some freebies only for member who post helpful threads/posts in your forum .
The freebies must be attractive enough for them .
Therefore users would like to post in your forum to get the freebies.

Try to find good moderators. Offer them ad space to they become interested in growing your community. They will bring new members and make the forum active.

Have different positions to reach to gain certain access. Like example, if you post 10 posts, then you can advanced to certain topics, and so on. You have to mapped out and plan it out on this.

Other than that, having a reward system would be good. Like every person who post at least 10 posts a day will stand a chance to win ****.
    Hope this helps.
    :)

I was thinking to give away free domain names for some posts. Thanks for your ideas, I will try to do this.

How many posts do you think a user should make for a .com domain name ?

You should be the best judge of the price your domain names would command.

Having done that, consider good posts to attract anywhere between 10 cents to 15 cents.....Hence decide on the number of posts with this calculation.

    Hope this helps.

10 $ for a domain name means about 70 posts for a domain name.

Make your readers to register first before opening your forum post. ( I mean visitors which are coming from search engines to read about something). This will help you to increase registered users and also posts on your forum. Post your forum in online forums list in difference forums and web directories.

The easiest way to make people post is to make your blog DO_follow BLOG

You will attract some spam, but be strict on that. Our blog given below is a Do_Follow blog see how we rank 568,000 on Alexa due to the traffic ? Its because lots of traffic flows in and out during the day. Just copy it

Post interesting threads. That's the best way to get members to interact. Post a variety of threads.
