I have a tutorial site which works as a forum. I have a good number of tutorials there and good traffic so far today I have 170 unique hits.

I have very small amount of members and a PR4.

What can I do to make it a famous site?

Am I allowed to mention the address of it?

Hey, asgsoft, unfortunatley tutorial sites are a dime a dozen, I'm afraid. To make your site popular (or "famous") you'll have to work extremely hard at just about everything, including putting money into advertising.

there are alot of tutorials sites. You are gonna have to find a way to differentiate yourself from your competition. And probably advertise and promote the site alot.

Run a Super Bowl ad. That will give you lots of exposure very quickly.

Could you please kindly tell me what a super bowl ad is? I am thinking of offering some sort of incentive for reaching a certain number of posts but can't think of anything they would like at the moment

He's being facetious, asgsoft. LOL. It's a 30-second commercial that runs during the Superbowl game, which costs $5 million a piece (or thereabouts). :)

I don't think that many forums will begrudge you a link in your signature if you are posting relevant, helpful and/or instructive information. Run a search in google for forums relevant to your site's content and pick out the most active. Get a feel for the forum first by visiting regularly and reading the rules and FAQs. If you find you can help with some of the queries pitch in with your advice - and as you are running a tutorials site I'll bet that you will be able to start doing that quite soon. Put your link in your signature along with a short message of what your site is about. If people are interested in what you offer they will come, if not they will ignore it. I get a steady trickle of hits from forums that I contribute to. It's not a massive influx but that's not really the point. Forum visitors read more pages than general traffic because they are interested in the things that my site offers.

Not everybody will sign up but if you make the tutorials indispensible and truly great then you'll have a better chance of retaining the traffic.

but now a days forums are measured by the number of members not contents. My traffic is getting very very high, so far in April I have 500 uniques.
