"Lag" actually has nothing to do with your computer, it refers to a high ping time between you and the server. Not all "slowness" is "lag". Do a speed test to a location near where the game server is. If the ping time is much above 50ms, there's not much you can do to decrease your lag.

If not, as everyone else has said, make sure your CPU and GPU are adequate to play the game, and that you have enough RAM (and don't try to run a lot of other programs while you're playing).

(Ready boost is a disk cache and, unless the game is poorly written, won't do anything to speed the game up.)

Yes, Rukabat is right. First make sure that your system match with game's minimum system requirement. by this you know Really any hardware needs to upgrade or not.

And stop other processes while you're playing the game.

You can use "TASK MANAGER" to end unwanted background running processes. Only in that case when know properly about which processes are safe to stop without effecting your Windows... and clean your temp folders.

The only thing reinstalling Windows will do as far as speeding up the computer goes is to reinstall a new registry - which effectively uninstalls all your programs. If you reinstall Windows so as to not reinstall the registry (leaving all your programs installed), it won't speed anything up.

Reinstalling will delete all your files, but you can back them all up to a CD, DVD or flash drive first, then restore them after reinstalling Windows.

I think you must change the Vga card available for the game.

 

You definitely need to reformat your laptop and add additional ram for it to perform faster.
If not, change one since laptops are pretty cheap now.

That will work - IF you don't have enough RAM for the programs you're currently running. Otherwise it'll just lighten your wallet.

You could try a restore to the point before you installed the game. I realize this is an old thread but someone might find that useful. You will need to have a restore point prior to the time you installed the game, but that is easy to check for.

I'm assuming you were happy with your laptop before you installed the game. That also works for some forms of malware.

Same as a desktop. Remove your temporary files regularly, use an antivirus and so on. You should use a cleaner like Ccleaner. They take good care of your laptop.
