i think the best way to make money online is to use advertising with google adsense or another ad network, Chitika, Pogads, Yahoo etc, Thesmarterfish.com has a page on adsense and working with it but i think affiliate marketing is just as powerful, anyone making a full time living from affiliate marketing?

Yes affiliate is more powerful than adsense coz the earning is more than adsense. My affiliate earning only able to cover my utilities bill only around $500/month and its already good for me coz each sales i generated i'm payed $10

The short version, is that it depends. Some sites are just better suited for adsense over affiliates, and vice versa. Most though, could do with a bit of both.
I am making a full time living from affiliate marketing, but i definatly had to work for it! I use methods such as my website and articles marketing and some other ways. I dont use google adwords yet for advertising my site but i do a little bit for affiliate marketing. In order to succeed with adwords and affiliate marketing that way you definatly need to know what your doing, i have spent tons of dollars that i could have saved if i would have used the proper techniques.
