I have been hearing of Fiverr for at least 2 years now and only today I decided to go there and create an account to try and earn a couple bucks. I see there are some people who actually make a good amount selling their gigs on Fiverr but I have no clue what I could do as gigs to earn a couple bucks.
The simplest thing to do is just ask yourself "What do I know how to do?" Beyond that you can spend some time browsing Fiverr to see what others are offering, getting some ideas on what you could offer.
I am seller level 1 on Fiverr. Its getting hard to sale something that expensive. Its not just about "What do I know how to do?" like mhovihgh said. More than that, you need to create lower prices, and increase it after you get more and more order.. Btw, im in writing services PS : For someone who has order 1 gigs for $5 you got $3.92 (balance on paypal)
I did join fiver and used it only to buy some gigs, i never earned money on this site , but after reading this thread i decided to post some gigs ... fiver is good to earn some money .
There are people selling things like I'll call anyone and wish them a happy birthday or I'll hold your business card in front of _____. It can be anything. It is just like any other marketing though, you have to get in it and learn a bit and see what works. There are people making their living on fiverr and those who can't make a dime. But that is the exact same everywhere. Anything will take some research, training, a plan and persistence.Good luck.
List your expertise first and then share them (gig) in an organized way. Hope you'll be succeed. The basic thing is you need to market yourself..... your expertise, that's all.
I've been browsing fiverr looking for a good idea for a advertising stunt that is funny, something to hopefully go viral but can't find anything that suits me and our company. So I would say originality and creativity is important. ]
You can advertise your fiverr gig with another one like this: fiverr.com/ttdub_1/manually-submit-your-site-or-blog-to-50-social-bookmarking-sites-from-pr3-to-pr8
I've made some decent money with Fiverr, not enough to live off by any means but certainly enough to top up the main income and make it worthwhile. You either have to be a bit creative or a bit crafty. There's an option on the Fiverr homepage where you can check out the most popular gigs, have a look at what's hot and see if there's anything you could do, or even better, anything you could improve/put your own spin on. Plenty of coves are offering SEO services, some advertising thousands of backlinks which are blatently done with automated software in a couple of minutes. Others are doing similar with facebook/youtube 'likes', they even admit the likes are computer generated in their descriptions and yet people still buy them! Proof reading and content writing are popular if you're grammar's good, and if you want to put all those drama lessons in school to good use you could offer to make bogus video testimonials... The secret is to get your gig noticed, there are SO many essentially offering the same thing that it's becoming harder and harder to get to the front page, and with the popularity of the site continuing it'll only get more arduous. Adding a video to your page definitely helps move you up the rankings, especially if you're aesthetically pleasing. you'll notice all the gigs on the fiverr page one have videos, I think the moderators favour gigs with videos as they assume people willing to show their faces are more likely trustworthy. When writing a description, make it as detailed and thorough as possible, the more you write the more chance you'll have of being picked up in a search and chosen over gigs which afford less detail. Hope that helps.
Some of the higher demand gigs are writing, graphic design, and social media advertising. I've talked to some people who have a lot of success "brokering" as well--setting up and advertising a website selling services for larger prices than fiverr, then purchasing the services on fiverr to fulfill the orders.
Signing up for Fiverr is free, regardless of whether you’re a buyer or a seller. If you’re a seller, you can simply sign up and then create a gig and wait for buyers to purchase your service. Once someone purchases your service, your money will be sent to you via your PayPal account.
I can relate to this. For people who are trying to sell services on fiverr, you REALLY have to get a network of testimonials or else your going to get buried alive with others. There are others out there doing the same thing your offering. This can suck big time!! I would recommend to try to network with other forum sites to with fiverr users to actually set a review for your services, so fiverr picks it up to be a top seller. Just make sure you do the same good deed for the other person who helped you out.
i make about $1,200 a month on Fiverr spending less than an hour every day. It's a great supplement income. It will only increase as your levels increase and you are able to offer additional services at higher prices. I do no advertising outside of Fiverr. You just have to offer something of value, be savvy in how you title and describe your gigs. Once you get a few folks who like your gigs, you'll get a lot of repeat business and referrals. Check out our profile page (BTW, this is the first time I've ever promoted my gigs outside of Fiverr)... www (dot) fiverr (dot) com/nuwavestudios. I think you'll like what we offer and you won't be disappointed. Cheers!
