I have a website that has 4000 uniques a day mostly from United States, Canada and Western Europe. However, I run Google adsense and I receive only dollar a day through adsense (it has been going for months now). It is pathetic. I might even remove the ads. I understand if I make my ads more visible I will make more, but I don't want to confuse the readers. Is there other solution to my problems? Website url: http://www.interestingfacts.org Thank You!
You can have some more ads unit on right or left side of your content! anyways your site looks fabulous great design just slight modification required!
Hello, First I have to compliment your website, great job! If you want to make money with google adsense then redesign is necessary to get it up there and the money will flow. I experienced the same problem with a few of my blogs. I went to excellent looking designs with only google adsense across the top and the money went down. Then I went back to a more basic design, yet had the large google across the top and super skyscaper adsense on right side. Then once you click on the posting, at the top left with the wording starting on the right of it with word wrap, adsense on right and then at the bottom above the comments another google adsense. It jumped over 400% in earnings, end of story! Also, I have included some banner affilate programs on the site and mention then in postings, but do not directly sell them in the article. People are curious, if you do not try to sell the banners, but mention them..you will have readers check them out and make affiliate commisions, goodluck buddy!
i'd try putting affiliate links/banners on there instead. I'm in Australia, but when I look at the ads on your site I'm seeing "animal DVD" "girls do want to have fun" "Timbavati Facts" and "Human Growth Hormone" - so not really relevant to your site IMO. Search for your keywords and check out the other sites that come up - see if they have affiliate programs.
Yep, more / better ads, try some affiliate ones, they can pay out very well if you find the right one.
You have a wonderful site with interesting content, but when i looked in google 's keyword tool for the average click on "facts", it was something like $0.60. One click will average $0.60 that gets paid to Google, then you get some portion of that $0.60 which can account for why your adsense earning are quite low. You may want to try other advertising sites like: adbrite, bidvertiser, kontera. I also recommend you find affiliate programs related to your website's nice t facts. A lot of your information is free so it's going to be interesting to convince people to buy things. Perhaps, you can go on to Amazon and affiliate a dictionary, a biography about Mao Tse Tung, books about other type of interesting facts that you haven't yet talked about. Again, your site provided most of the information for free, so you'll hve to get creative about what you can sell.
I always say this but build a list for this weird niche and try and find some affiliate program that sells weird stuff for geeks nerds etc. But year adsense is probably your best best with a friendlier design
So far I tried affiliate marketing, Azoogle, Clicksor and Amazon. All produced very little income. Thanks for your help. Maybe I need more visitors since I don't want to cramp the site with ads
Very good design and very interesting idea .No doubt you get a lot of visitors because your idea is great .First thing I would say you should change placement of adsense (experiment with it ) and try renting your website space for ads.
