I see many guys here are making money from proxy sites. I wonder how? I mean what are they selling? I used to use proxy on my server, but I have no idea how it can be monetized. Could you clarify?
Yes many proxy owners make money mainly being from adsense or another advertising program like adsense, others through advertising other peoples sites on their proxy site so basically selling links on their sites. Others doing link exchanges not primarily for traffic purposes but for backlinks to increase their page rank and search engine positioning. There are many other creative ways i am sure of making money, primary and secondary ways of making money, what i mean by this is primary would be through monetizing that page with advertising programs and affiliate links secondary would be having a link up to a forum or a group or a newsletter which they then sign up for and you sell advertising space on these newsletters or sell products to the members/sign ups.
