I think its awesome that you set this great goal. would love to hear more about your passions, hobbies. what aspects of making money online are you interested in? what do you love?

 

Here are a few ideas if you want to reach your goal:
1. Learn to code;
2. Do some Networking Courses, get yourself a Cisco CCNA;
3. Play online games and video yourself, if you are charismatic you will earn a lot of money. I am amazed of how much donations the people on twitch receive, just for playing and giving advice;
4. Create vines and post them on facebook/twitter/youtube, build a steady database of subscribers;
5. Use the freelancing websites on the Internet and deliver services on the subjects you master. There are tons of people asking for help on things that may seem basic to you.

There are many ideas shared with in this post and throughout the forum on How to Make Money Online.
You just need to look for them. We also need a little more information. Do you have any experience in this? Can you code, do graphics, or write? The more information that you can give us, the better that we can help you.
What is this time frame you are looking for to make this $3000? a day? a week? a month?
Most of these things are going to take time, a lot of effort, and work. A lot of the time you earn by how much work and time you put in.

You need monetizable, unique/rare skills in order to get that much PROFIT (not revenue keep in mind).

Its good approach if ones think like you that he wants earning, 3000$ is a handsome amount. But you cannot get results over night. You have to be practical, sincere, and honest with your work. In age of 17, first concentrate on your studies, this is the time when you build a base of your future. But don't be worried, you can earn money online (as part time), start PPC, get some little projects online, some marketing works you may do. But my honest advice is that give your full time to your studies, this time will never comes again.

 

Get into the high ticket game but do it the affiliate marketing route so you can leverage a professional who knows what she or he is doing. There are a couple of Clickbank products you can promote in the medium to high ticket range with good gravity.

Then you can either promote the links to an existing list you have or start building a list of email subscribers by having your own autoresponder to collect their emails, and a 'mini-website' software to create sales funnels (sales funnels will automate the selling process for you and will allow you to build your list).

$3000 is not easy to earn a month by working for just 3 hours a day for a 17yo. It is better to concentrate on your studies more and set your earning goal less as of now. Going slow is better at this age. You will learn a lot in couple of years.

 

It's almost impossible to earn 3000$ by month with just 3 hours work a day. You can start with Youtube Vlogging/Videos and Blogging but it would take you more time and work. Like everyone you have to start yourself from nothing to build something and establish yourself as a brand. It takes time, patience and work.

 

There is one way to make fortune in such short time. Make YouTube videos that can go super-viral. Creating and editing one video of about 3-5 minutes length may take less than 3 hours.

 

If you need $3000 fast, I would recommend a little thing called consulting. It is far easier and quicker to do it in person than it is online. Online sources of income take forever to get started and get going. Once you have hit the minimum (I would actually aim higher, like $4000 or $5000), start working on investing that in an online income gradually so you don't have this problem in the future.

 

The worst thing you can do is let a 17 year old kid think that $3,000 will come fast and there's an realistic, optimistic, and efficient strategy out there waiting for him.
Any "quick and easy" way to generate $3k will take longer than a few hours and most likely will take a length of time to master to become efficient.

He could buy an in demand product on the lower market average then sell on the higher market average and repeat until he reaches $3k.....but that won't take 3 hours.
