How to make metallic font similar to this text in Photoshop?

    Get the desired font first of all. Then you could just mess around with gradients and emobossments until it looks acceptable. Try out http://good-tutorials.com, they have some good stuff.

    You need image of some dust surface as overlay. Also use inner bevel effect for edges. Thats all.

    Here's what I have so far. I have the font and gradient, but I'm not sure how to get the texture going. I'm a noob at photoshop, and I haven't worked with fonts much.

    I attached a picture of what I have, and what my goal is.
