how to make local disk

    I recently purchased Sony Vaio laptop.. windows 7 was alreay there

    but there was only one local disk was "c"

    i want to create another like D

    plz let me know how to do this?

    You will have to reformat and reinstall windows for that i guess or try searching for partition manager sometimes they work too in creating virtual partitions
