I just finished by minisite but cant figure out how to make it to where my customer automatically can download am ebook right after they pay for it. I know how to make the paypal button and everything, Im just not sure where to put the actual ebook file to keep it safe and make it where ONLY the people who bought it can download it. How would I do this?
Put it somewhere safe, in your webhost. Make 3 folders for example, and put it there. Give those folder hard readeble names like x3jsh3tf and you are safe, since no one can know actually about those.
Better way would be to have a eCommerce type stuff put up, where users when purchase the product get access to the downloads section and get their user group changed. They can download the ebook from there. Alternative way can be emailing the users with a password that will be used to open the folder.

Just an afterthought...I use DLGuard and it works great but there is also SmartDD which is free. These applications will hide the location of your product file and work great. Hope this helps
Use an ecommerce system or digishop for this. There are many different options, it's better to work with a system than just pages
what ecommerce system would you suggest for this purpose? i.e Download Products, Create Tickets, Affiliate system. Would prefer open source.
