I am updating my site regularly. Even Google is not crawling my site regularly. Can any one suggest me on this?
You can adjust crawl settings in Google Webmaster Tools. For some websites it is disabled but check this first. Else you can start with building a quality DOFOLLOW link network.
Go to google webmasters and use "settings" to adjust crawl rate... But it is recommended to accept google's own crawl rate recommendaton given there.
google will crawl your pages if it sees that you are regularly updating your site. if you update it once a day every day then google will soon realise that and crawl your site every day. If you look at how often this forum is crawled then you can see that it's almost instant because there are hundreds of new pages every few minutes and google still manages to crawl it and index it almost instantly. Changing settings in webmaster tools might have a short term desired effect but if google is not happy with that because there is nothing new or not enough "important" content it will just revert back to what it thinks it's the best crawl rate for your site. Also make sure that you submit your auto updating sitemap in webmaster tools because that is the best and least time consuming way for google to see that you have some new pages to crawl.
If you use wordpress then google should index your posts within 5 minutes as every post is automatically pinged. For static website I suggest you book mark the pages, ping them or just build a few links to them. But to make sure that google crawl your website frequently you need to make sure you have quality backlinks pointing to your website and content should be unique.
You can set a higher crawling rate in Google Webmaster Tools.. But remember, frequent crawling doesn't mean faster and more indexing.
You can even use a good pinging service like ping-o-matic or pingler after each update and big g would surely update your changes... sooner! Regards, RightMan
You can got it adjusted by set frequently of crawling rate but I do not recommend to do it unless your site update in every few minutes like a big news site or popular forum. The default crawling ratio set by Google is already optimized for most site. You can have more frequently by submit your content to social bookmark such as Digg, Reddit, Mister-Wong. Google bot also need a time to learn how consistency your site content updated before adjust the ratio again later.
Update your site frequently with unique content and google will automatically visit your website frequently.
it take long time to gain google reputation of frequently changed site. also you need visitors that google is aware about them, i.e. visitors coming from google search. These 2 factors over the time will impact the frequency Google visits/indexes your site/content.
get links, update content daily, xml sitemap, publish your RSS feed, ping the site when updates are made...
I know a site that contains a lot of articles about all of adsense... but I can't post it because I have to have 10 posts.
No reason to adjust crawl rate this is already optimized by Google. Have a backlinking campaign that is consistent and submit to social bookmarking sites, directories, blogs, forums just about anywhere you can find a link. Also adding fresh content on a regular basis. Is you site big? Does it have a sitemap? Is it static or dynamic? Does it have an RSS feed? Is is Wordpress if we know we can help even further.
In my own experiences, building backlinks from high PR (above 6) sources and updating your on site contents would be both nice for this purpose. Have a nice day,
Use Social media Optimization techniques also try digg stumbleupon Facebook.... to popularize your site and for generating quality back links, this would help for making Google visit your site frequently.
