How to make Google to index new published pages on a wordpess blog?

    Hello,

Does anybody know how exactly wp auto ping service work?

When you publish a new post, WordPress automatically notifies the selected site update services - pingomatic by default.

Does Wordpress notify pingomatic when a new page is published?

The problem is that I see Google do not index my pages...

Today I decided to try to add a test post to see what is going on - and guess what - Google index my new test post in minutes. The I make another test post - Google index it again in a couple of minutes... But the problem is that Google does not index my pages added to my wordpress blog.

Do you know why Google does not index my pages?

I made another test post with link to one of my pages - google index both the post and that page.

It seems wp does not auto ping pages. Most probably the auto ping feature works only on blog posts.

Do you know how can I enable auto ping on blog posts?

I have already added my pages to blog's rss using a plug-in called RSS Includes Pages I have Google XML Sitemaps plugin.

Also i submitted one of my pages to pingomatic manually but it is not indexed yet too.

Does anybody could explain what is going on?

    Many thanks in advance!

I will try to explain it...

All new posts are indexed by Google so quickly because WordPress gives RSS and Googlebot reads him first of all. You can control crawling of your blog with plugin WP Crawle Rate (which shows you User-agent of Search engine, time and Url of crawled page/post - http://www.blogstorm.co.uk/wordpress-crawl-rate-tracker/).

You should also use plugin Google sitemap generator to create sitemap.xml, which will tell crawlers about new and changed pages on blog

P.S. Write more posts with links to unindexed pages :)

The googlebot doesn't read them first. You are mistaken. If your RSS feed is setup correctly and you are linked to popular RSS aggregator social sites, they will crawl your new posts first. You don't have to wait for search engines to discover your blog posts.

Submission of your site on stumbleupon will help your site to get index in less than 24 hours.

Blogs already are search engine friendly and so give it some time and the new posts will be visible online soon.

IF Google does not index your page you have to wait on that.
When I started Blogging It took 2 days when Google indexed my page. But be sure you update your blog.

If you are using wordpress, you should edit you PINGLIST under setting --> writing. The more the better. Be carefull not to put redundant ping server as they may ban your domain for pinging too much.

In my understanding there are two ways that can get your pages crawled fast.

    1. Wordpress has in built feature of pinging to different web crawler of various websites. It helps get your content syndicated in different websites which in turn may help your pages come under Googlebot's eye.

Go to admin panel > setting > writing > then "Update Services"

you find a big textarea: Just add following list of urls into that box and save changes.

    http:// elliottback . com/wp/a-list-of-rpc-and-rpc2-to-ping/

Every time you will make any post it will be automatically pinging to various sources. You will need not to use any third party pinging service like pingomatic or pinggoat.

    2. Install Google XML Sitemap Generator. And submit to Google through Google Webmaster Tools.

NOTE: Do not add duplicate content to post. It will lower the frequency of Googlebot crawling.

It hardly takes few minutes to get your post crawl in wordpress, if you have not done anything wrong.

Well, if google can't crawl links in stumbleupon why do we see stumbleupon icon at the right side of our google search and it also tells category where the sites was submitted in stumbleupon.
