How to make Google read my body text first ??

Since Google reads a webpage from top left, to bottom right, how can I make it read my body text first when using a top banner and navigational links ?? Also, will it help my SEO if Google reads my body text (with keywords) first ??

    THX

I understand why you may wish to do this - but think about the fact that very few websites do this. It is therefore not an essential technique to employ. I would suggest that you look into including your H1 tag as close to the top of the page (which should of course be reasonably keyword-dense), and perhaps have a keyword rich navigation menu. This way, you are not employing anything out of the ordinary which may cause cross-browser problems. Hope this helps!

i think in the past using css to do this was a good method, but in the last weeks or two google has considered this as bad, i suggest you just make sure you have many pages that have unique content and dont try to spam keywords, also keep your urls short.

Google does it all automatically. You just have to add some sitemap to help them discover your texts and pages in a sequence that will make it easier for their bots to see all your content.

If will be better to leave Google to do its homework.
    Let it index full page.
You may even get penalized to doing such stuffs

this is quite important and a not-very-much-talked about part of SEO web design. if you take a look at your (or any) site through this

http://www.rankquest.com/tools/Lynx-View.php you'll see what the bot sees.

obviously you want your content (and possibly navigation if it contains keywords) as near as possible to the top left of the box

some sites are very much better than others in this respect, but get it right and you'll get a super sharp site right out of the box.

get it wrong and you'll always struggle compared to the best however much you optimize the rest of it.

    no probs, welcome.

its not all that matters obviously, but if you're designing a site from the ground up, or choosing a template, you may as well get this right at the time.
