how to make glitter image?

I searched google ,yahoo. but those tutorials I found are really simple, didn't help me alot.

where can i find good tutorials.

 

What is the effect you are trying to achieve? Is it to put
animated sparkles in an image? Often this is done with an
animated gif.

 

i know how to make animated gif, 3 layers will get the job done.

but i saw some sites has really nice glitter text, those I made following the instruciton i found oline are really ugly.

 

By the sounds of it, it just may take that something that extra bit special...detail, take your time with it, make some nice star like images/ sparkles and then just add them thorughout. It will take abit of work I think
