Do not embed your WMV, AVI or MPG movie files directly to your web page. You should convert your video file into a streaming video file format. This way your visitors can watch the video as it is getting downloaded (otherwise they can't see anything before the video file is fully downloaded). Check out this website video player software which does the auto conversion, and also let you choose a player template.
No, you can not do this. Because Adobe Flash Player doesn't support wmv. You can use FLV. To add FLV to web page, a web-based flv player is needed. You can use playerdiy.com - http://www.playerdiy.com/ which is a quick solution to make custom flash video player for website.
hey Mido, Whats you exact requirement? Are you want to convert the videos locally or in the server when you finish your uploads? If it is in server, you can use ffmbeg which is bulk of library files you can use in your linux server and use the ffmbeg commands to convert all the video files to .flv format. I have already done this in php for my client. You can download the ffmbeg version for linux server from the following path. http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/FFmpeg-3054.shtml (its completely free to use , i think) If you want to do the same thing in your local machine, there are so many converters available. try googling them. Regards - John
It seems what you need is a Windows Media Player Plug-in. But most of time I perfer to conevrt to FLV video format.
