How to Make Ebay Ads load last

I just built www.LeftyStrats.com, but the site loads slow because of the ebay ads which are done in javascript. The problem is the body of the page and all the content has to wait for them to load before anything will appear.

I was wondering if there was a way to make the ebay ads load last. I tried to put defer="defer" in the script but it just made them the only things on the page. Any advice would be helpful.

    Thanks

You might consider reformatting your title, and a question mark wouldn't hurt either. :)

The eBay items load fine on my wimpy 1.5Mb connection (in Australia). You could always use the eBay RSS feed and an rss parser - but it's hardly worth it just to speed up the site a bit. Or you could move some divs around so they're at the bottom of the code, but still at the top of the design (I think that will work?).

I personally think your load time is fine.

You site breaks a bit up the top (in Firefox):

Great idea for a site btw - good luck with it :)

I didn't have a problem understanding it, and I've only been awake for about 3 minutes :p

Internet Explorer stinks when it comes to loading the Editor Kits. If you site is built out of tables, and an EK is in your main table, everything in the table must load before IE shows ANYTHING. Try your site in Firefox and you'll be surprised.

Thanks, I think the ebay EK are running much faster today. It was taking about 3 seconds for the page to load. I need to update my firefox broswer, it looked alright in the early beta one I have.

Yes, I think alot of it is IE with the eBay ads loading slow depending on the traffic on their servers. I see the problem with the gaps on the tables in the parts pages. I got two more fixed so far. Thanks for all your help.

    Loads fine from my firefox.

Looks like you may have a good niche there though. Did a goolge for "left handed strats". Did not seem to be a lot of sponsors so ppc should not cost an arm and a leg.

    Good Job
