Well for my affiliate links i am using tinyurl and cloakreferer but they dont really make the links attractive as i seen some other peoples. Well tinyurl gives me a link with "tinyurl" infront of it and cloakreferer gives me a link with "http://moveto" at the beginning. But ive seen some links that dont have the obvious "tinyurl" infront of it, but its the actual website URL without all the extra words infront of it. Need some help with this if you understand what im saying. thanx
Maybe they have there own domain. Or they using simple HTML to make a hyperlink, hove over the link and look at the statusbar of your browser where the link is going to.
Don't use tinyurl because it just look spammy. And if you have a blog, use it on wordpress. They have a plugin to mask the affiliate link and it works perfect. You can track better this way too.
This is not blogspot blog buddy.. he is telling about wordpress blog that you have to create it on your hosting.
You can use redirect scripts to create attractive affiliate links. You can create a simple redirect 'php' script file using simple code : <?php header("Location: http://paste-your-affiliate-link-here");?> Code (markup): Open any text editor such as notepad and Copy the above code (don't forget to replace 'paste-your-affiliate-here' with your affiliate link) paste it in your notapad and save that file as 'index.php' (not 'index.txt') and upload it your server. Is that simple. You can find more information about programming in programming forum. regards, PW.
I always have a review and at the end of the review I have "Learn More About X" as the affiliate link. It has a great CTR
Is this about self hosted wordpress? If so you can just use a link cloaking plugin instead of making a file for every link. By using a plugin you can also track the link clicks.
Yes, you don't have to create file for the link anymore. I used to do that to and its troublesome. But the only negative thing about the plugin is you cannot track the clicks, you have to go to awstat to see it, or maybe statcounter because its saved as a php file. If you guys know a way to track from wordpress itself, please share with me. Anyway for the plugin, they auto generate the link for you, you just specify some variable and what the link text should be.
Where is it used? Email? Website? If it's website, then no one cares as long as you make the anchor text something nice. How to prevent people from stealing your commissions, that's another question. If it's email, then I find that myseite.com/go/blabla looks good enough. If it's about IM, you can easily get away using nasty aweber links too.
have you tried using the members area on href.in a short url service which provides stats and graphs for links to.
just pay for a domain name and forward the link i use 1and1 its only about 8 bucs then you have a nice url
