    I know that making website, you could use hostgator but I want to know how to make a free website and to see if you could put a email op in page on it.

    You can create a facebook page for free - lots of people are using facebook pages instead of websites these days - you can include an opt-in form as long as it's a fan page, not your personal profile.

    You could use hub pages, squidoo, or any other 2.0 site you can think of they all are capable of your purpose.

    To put an email opt-in box on any website whether it is free or paid for by you, you will only need to have some basic knowledge of html to know where and how to place the email opt-in code in the web page source code.

    But if no , I suggest Facebook or Bloggers ....

    If you want to make a website then you must have spend money and. No body will make a website for free for. atleast you have spend money to bye domain name. But if you just want to make your webpage then You have choice You can make blogs, Hub pages, Fan page on Face book for free.

    If this is first time you creat a website, let's try to make static site (with HTML code only). Download Notepad++ (editor software) and then find on Google some "free xhtml templates". Try to edit them first and then upload to hosting. :)
