Just begin on how you make a normal layout and then say "it's a template"! I never thought there was a certain way, unless you don't know how to design websites?
Hello, Lonesight. There are many types of templates here in this Web world. You should be more explicit with respect to what type you are intending to make. In general, a template is a skeleton showing the structure of a certain type of Web page. There may be markers in points where content should be included. A template presents those parts of a page that are common to a great number of actual pages. It should be possible to build these pages by replacing in the template the markers for the content that makes unique each page. So, make a typical page as you like it, take out the content, leave the fixed parts, and that is a template. Good luck.
