How to make a video sharing site with wordpress

hi everyone, i want to make a video sharing site with wordpress where multiple authors can share their videos just like youtube and with it's common features! videos will be self hosted. is this possible to do?
If so can you help me in this regard?

Of course it is possible to do, but, you should know up front that video sharing sites take A LOT of resources. You won't be able to do this on a shared hosting plan. You will need a BIG hosting plan.

No. You don't have to start over. You can definitely do this with WordPress with the right theme and enough hosting resources.
First step is to find a nice theme. There are a few for video sharing.

 

Firstly are you sure that your hosting provider allow you to do that as the traffic can causes outburst due to large amount of traffic and also the bandwidth usage.

 

ok, i got enough hosting with unl. bandwidth .. i also have basic knowledge on wordpress. but i got confused about user registration, how they will upload videos, also if they upload unsupported videos then what ..... also flash player .....
