How to make a forum on a website??

    1.do you want to link forum to your website?
    or
    2.create fully functional forum as website?
    If second one is your question then
    choose a free hosting then install any forum like phpbb and start posting.

    So you want your forum to be almost integrated to your site? SMF has something called SSI where you can show things like users online, stats, latest post, latest news, ect. directly on your (non-forum) homepage.

    on your server install forum in directory www.yoursitename.com/forums/
    and just give the link of index page of forum in your website's homepage.
