I have a website that had some traffic in the past (Around 300k pageviews/month) but nowadays is DEAD! How do i make it alive again? :\
If it is dead, treat it like you were just starting out. Do the usual SEO work of getting backlinks and optimizing your site. If you want immediate traffic try adwords or facebook ads.
i think start build good pr links and also also start smo media marketing build link per day 30 to 40 then it will be back in 2 months
Article submission will give you rebirth, comment posting will give you regrow, if you do this very rapidly you will die again
If you update your content and submit your sitemap, rss; it can help. And yes you have to again start your link building again.
You might have to start from scratch, hopefully it will pick up faster from when you just started. Did you change anything major before this happened? Did you stop marketing it?
I'm curious too, what did you do? Or what did you not do to keep it up? It sounds like you've got great traffic before but something happened so it's "dead" now, I don't get that either, you still have your domain and hosting, right? SEO, write more articles, and much more can be done, if you are determined to bring it back to life, you can do it!!
It was back in 2004, by that time great websites had great traffic, today that doesn't happen anymore The website is about a show that isn't popular anymore nowadays so It will be a bit hard to revive XD
That same problem also happened to our site. We just let it rest for a while, then something good happened. Google placed a PR3 on our site because of what it used to earn and its former traffic. Just last month we have already sold our site for a reasonable amount of money. Don't be discouraged clades!
Start SEO to make it alive. Submit the xml sitemap to Google to index it immediately and spread out to the marketing world by applying off page SEO techniques.
Well I think you need to put up 2011 type of marketing techniques and have 2011'ish content for your website. I think thats where you should make a start - once you got that in place, you can move on to the marketing aspect.
Entertainment changes constantly and is pretty tough to keep one site popular for a long time. You might want to think about starting another one about a newer show. Just use the same tactics that you used to make the last one stand out. One guy over at the Warrior Forum created a site about Justin Bebier before he exploded onto the mainstream. The dude loaded the site down with CPA offers and did well.
It might also be a good idea to change your layout of the website (like color schemes, placement of links) to make it more pleasing to newcomers of the site. Do you know why people stopped going to the site? They could've hated the layout, they could've hated too many ads, perhaps the site was really slow? It would help you a ton if you knew why they stopped going to your site so you can fix those problems and essentially reinvent your image.
You can sell your site for a lump sum. It depends though... people who buy sites look for page rank, does it have any revenue, where is your site ranking in the search engines ect..
start writing articles redesign the site according to the panda update update the sitemap and resubmit it
