How to make a better tech blog.

    A friend once told me that when building a website it's what you do different/better than your competitors that will drive them do your site.

    For a tech blog. . .which if targeted can be interesting, what else could I do different than just a straightforward blog.

    I thought of contests . .. but the went brain dead. Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Getting the inside scoop, getting tech companies to give you pre-release versions would be good.

    You probably need a bit of courtship where you earn their respect, they give you tidbits, you get known, build a reputation and then it'll be an "upward spiral".

    Right now they don't know you from the next guy in the street so you can't ask for much, but slowly you'll either gain credibility or ...
