Friends what tips can you give to increase CPC? Is it about high paying keywords? Should I make a site about these? Is this just a random basis? Can you control this? Can you just show high paying ads on your site?
Pick a topic that people are searching for in abundance, or, find a subject that has advertisers paying a large cpc average. To give you a rough estimate on what some people are paying per click, go here- http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/USm/search/tools/bidtool/ Although this is Overture's tool, it should give you some indication of what people are paying for certain keywords. Also, build a quality site around those profitable keywords. Make some informative articles, put up a forum, add some value to the site for the visitor so that A) they'll come back again, and B) hopefully they'll tell their friends.
CPC = high paying keywords = high competition = you wont rank for these keywords for a long time = wasted time and money short version making a site for the sole purpose of having a high CPC = not good (97% of the time)
I agree with Aaron also. You need to simply find a subject that interests you and build the traffic. As your traffic grows your money will with it. However, you may make more per CPC or less depending on the ads. The important thing is to create an interesting site that receives alot of traffic. I will take 600 clicks for $400 any day over 50 clicks for $100. Take your pick of which is better.
I have done this for some one else and I find that it really works, this is what I do for making more money with google adsense
Not a bad article except for one thing wrong. You are directly promoting your refferal button and as you say I would read the section on referral buttons just so you do not get banned from the program: https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms?hl=en_US because it states - You shall not promote or facilitate a Referral Event by any means other than displaying a Referral Button on the Site, unless expressly authorized in writing by Google (including by electronic mail).
It is possible with the right subject matter. One of my sites is generating on average $1 to $2 per click. But due to the competition, it does not receive that much traffic. Currently it only gets about 50 to 100 pageviews a day. This is enough to earn $4 to $6 a day for now.
No problem I thought you might want to know about it. Good article though besides that little issue. Kevin
While creating a site based on a topic you enjoy is key (since it may take a year or three before you see the big money) some sites will never make big money from Adsense. My first site was an ESL site and these days with 1500-2000 uniques/day I'm looking at less than 500.00/month. Now those same uniques on a site about car accidents and insurance would be worth a lot more. In other words, if you have two interests develop your site on the one that can make you more money.
