how to lose money with clickbank Nitendo Wii downloads - $75 adsense - one $33 sale. or how to go backwards in one easy lesson.
The problem why people fail with PPC is that they think it is easy as picking a few keywords and waiting for the money to roll in. Don't expect to make a profitable campaign on the beginning. Pick a bunch of keywords, track them all, see which ones are profitable, filter out the unprofitable ones. Use only the profitable ones, try to lower the bid on the profitable keywords.. to make even more money. Just a few tips
i guess it is adwords not adsense , i was thinking of starting with adwords ( i am just a novice though) but then stopped after reading what the guru's here are saying that first start and learn from Bum marketing and if making some profit use that to help you with adwords (before that you should also read some ebooks or tutorials on adwords) and if everything goes well you will be earning good money from it , best of luck mate
PPC is a lot of putting keywords out their and then optimizing. That is why you must not just put in 2-3 usual keywords and then let them go and say it failed when those don't convert.
deepak, Well if you're gonna start adwords, do your homework first, there are some really nice ebooks, that will teach your how to set up a campaign, how to track keywords, and how to run a profitable campaign. If you don't know anything about PPC and just pick a bunch of keywords and hope you're gonna make money, you will fail, that's why all the newbies fail when they try PPC.
I just had some spare money in adwords and decided to give it a burn. What is the best way to track which keywords are the most profitable?
Add the adwords tracking code to the thankyou page so you'll track which keyword/ad variation made the sale.
I was doing okay with adwords and clickbank, then google jacked up my minimum bid to a silly amount due to poor quality score. Tracking profitable and unprofitable keywords is pretty essential though, you only want to be paying for keywords that convert.
my 2c .... you also want to be removing keywords that don't get clicked on at all, in order to up your ctr which may in turn lower your minimum bids my story ... i started on adwords with a relatively new product and did ok for a few weeks (i.e. making money rather than losing) ... but once the competition chimed it it became much harder ... so i would also suggest anyone trying adwords to try it on relatively low competition products/keywords
