    Hi,
I am interested in a domain that does appear to go anywhere, but is also not available for purchase. How do I find the owner to see if I might buy it?

you can see who is the registrant for a certain domain using a service like whois.domaintools.com

or just type whois domain.com if you have a linux system

if you really want that domain it would be better to lookup the whois info of that domain. you might want to use domain tools (as indicated earlier) whois lookup to view the details. hope that they have no privacy on the domain to make this easy...

    Good luck

You could just look up the WHOIS info, but the person may have privacy protection. Your best bet is send an email to the address listed under there.

have you checked the email address on the site there should be one, well if not then you just have to check whois and if its privacy protected then contact the company the domain is hosted under they they can pass on the meassage to the domain owner

If the registrant is using a privacy service check to see where the site is hosted. Often they will host a bunch of domains on one server and not all will have the privacy service. If you find 500 domains with the same owner and one with a privacy service odds are you found your man.
