Google has been playing website racism all the time. that's why most junk directory are completely useless for link building. Google will ignore link in your PRWEB press-release, so unless someone else picks up your press, you won't get any juice from it.

That's completely wrong. And you're just misleading people here with your assumptions. If you have any kind of proving you're more than welcome to present them here.

Otherwise ... why should anyone listen or believe you? I have heard a lot of great stories about PRWeb and what this Press Release site can do for you online. Not to mention that if you really have something great to say, you could be picked up by local newspapers. There are plenty which have their news sources online you knew that?
I for myself am sure you don't know what you're talking about.

Allot of good ones in here. What I would suggest is:
    -Blog commenting
    -Directory submissions
-Put your link in your sig on all forums
    -Article submissions
    -Social bookmarking (digg..etc)
-Sponsoring WP themes in the link sales section of this forum

First of all you should get one way link and wait at least up to index it by googlbot and after that you will get a pr for your site by google after 3 month
so do't wast your time and try to get more and more one way link for your site.
It will get a PR to your site by google.

    thanks

The fastest website (blogs are faster) I saw at a seminar listed and ranked PR3 in Google was under 5 days. But that can be build only with softwares or a very hard and boring manual work.

This includes and is not limited to:

    Social Bookmarking - 20 minutes
You need at least 30 bookmarks on good quality websites.

    Article submission - 10-30 minutes
How many times Google came with a "ezine" article on its searches when you search for something? This proves that article pages get ranked high, therefore are very important as backlinks. Another good strategy is to promote those article pages too, because as they grow in weight, your website is too.

    Video Submission - 1-3 hours
There is a strategy for multiplying same video over and over for multiple keywords. For Google or anyone else it is impossible to find out what's in a video unless manually check the video. So, if you have a video about "affiliate marketing" you could submit the same video with "internet marketing" keyword, because what Google knows about that video is what you say it is.
Once submitted to youtube for example, it is a good practice to include it on your webpage/blog.

Lenses and Hubs - about 2 hours
Backlincks from Squidoo and Hubs (hubpages.com) are also very important because of their ability to rank high in Google and other SEs.

... and these are just a few ways from a dozen others.

PS: Time frames are for people who know exactly what they're doing and got everything prepared. (bookmarks to important pages, website sheets etc)

Definitely, submit your website to directories. Than, the fastest way to get some link partners I found was to look for websites that link to other websites in your topic. Do the LINK search in Google or Yahoo. link:wwwDOTexampleDOTcom

The way this guy has put links in his sig, is it of any use to him?
I would like comments on this. Thanks in advance. Please advise him if he is wrong, otherwise he might be posting links this way in so many other forums and all his hard work is going to be wasted, no matter what.

I use IBL Builder, its directory allows me to choose the sites I want and I have built 10 PR2+ links in the past week from it.
