    why 1 hour? why not 1 day or 1 week or 1 month etc. If you are starting a business/website which you wish to promote, then you need to establish some kind of priorities. Assigning just 1 hour of your time to learning SEO would actually be a waste of that hour. You won't learn enough for it to be much use. Unless you can dedicate an ongoing regular amount of time as suggested by previous posters (1 hour per day, a few hours per week etc), then i wouldn't bother trying to learn it.
    If your serious about SEO on your site and you only have 1 hour, i would suggest using that 1 hour to search for a good SEO company that will do it properly for you.

    You may learn the definition and some basics but learning it in 1 hour seems impossible. You will find people here who are seo expert and have experience of many years but are still learning

    As in blog post I said "nobody knows what is SEO Everybody just guessing........."

    it's continuously knowledge, still need upgrading depend on algorithm.
    before i know a lot about SEO, i am also need to know SEO in short time but start to learn about SEO, there a lot more you really must know about it.
    now, about a month there is a lot of SEO i learned but still have to find it more and more.

    Not possible. You could learn some basic concepts, but to really learn SEO takes practice, and experience in this field takes months to years to really learn.

    Go to SEOBook.com - great teaching resource, but again, you could never learn everything there within a month, much less an hour.

    get a pis of paper and pen. then write SEO = Search Engine Optimization 100 times. by thye end of an hour, you will know what SEO is.

    be serious, people spend months learning SEO and it takes years of practice to be really good at this. you cannot learn seo in one hour

    Rome was not built in a day, I know for sure you know this sayings, rite?
    SEO is a process, not a magic.
    You still can learn SEO in 1 hour, through a brief but good checklist. But you will need many other hours to understand each point.

    Make a website full of unique content - make sure each internal page can be found through clicking internal links and use TEXT for all internal links

    SEO is not difficult, it just takes a long time to do....
    steps to becomming proficient with SEO
    1. learn html
    2. learn CSS

    then start to read about seo techniques, learn about what black hat is and what you should not be doing
    then read more on black hat and hopefully you will start to discover fact from fiction
    now put into practice what you have learn from the free seo lesson and other free seo resources

    keep refining your art and you can be a SEO expert over night after 12 months of 10 hrs per day modifying and optimising sites... but in one hour, no way.... it takes longer than that to read the latest blog on seo....
