    From w3schools (search on google) and then from PHP Manual (search on google).

    Then try making some very basic applications for your practice, best is to download some ready made application, study the code, style of coding, comments etc and understand it, and try to do additions in it.

    Anyways, basic PHP should only be used for basic stuff, if you're building a proper website, go for an MVC framework like CodeIgniter which is on PHP and is very easy to learn. And 2 good CMS systems I recommend are WordPress (for basic sites and blogs) and Drupal (for advanced CMS websites)

    The best way to learn PHP is very simple. You just have to practice, practice and practice. Seriously, the more you experiment with your work the better results you will get.
