    Well first of all check out w3schools for basics and then you can grab some Lynda tutorial or some book. When you learn basics then you can experiment by yourself.

    I've found 8 really useful online tutorial, some of them are fully interactive, some of them are written with comprehensive guides and visual to help you to pick up a language quickly. However, most of them has the same motive - is to make the learning process fun and easy to pick up. Take CodeCademy and jQueryAir as an example, it comes with a built in console that allow you to learn it in the browsers and get instant feedback.

    There are lot's of online resources and i would like you to check some Video tutorials online and download a full training video. Youtube is the good place to find some tutorials too. Bookvideotraining dot come is one place where you can get lot's of video as well as pdf tutorials. And last but not least as all other have suggest you to go with w3school , that's the place must be give precedence over all other resource. I myself always refer to w3school in the first place.

    w3schools.com is the best website to learn HTML. I myself started my career with it. Blindly follow what the preach and don't move around too much. You will start to fall in luv with it soon.
