Hi I have a music website and running Joomla 1.5 If I add a video to my site it goes to Home > Videos > Video Name So you can view all videos when clicking on the video link... This means that anyone searching for Artist Name Videos in google wont be getting to my website... If they type in Artist Name - Song Name Video then they would have a chance of finding my website. So what I want to know is in Joomla should I create another category like "Video" and then create sections for the artist and call this Artist Name Videos and then have videos under this... Would this setup not be time consuming to find videos? What are your thoughts?
I'm trying to wrap my brain around your site setup. Given the description you've provided, its a bit difficult to really understand what you're getting at. Since you don't want to post the link (or can't), maybe you want to find someone whom you trust and PM the link to that person. It'll at least make troubleshooting your issue a bit easier. I can tell you that what you've proposed is going to be REALLY difficult to maintain over time. I'm curious... why aren't you using an extension to manage your media? Just wondering.
Using an extension component for this would save alot of heartache especially if you wanna expand. Video extensions and components for joomla have gotten pretty impressive at this stage of development.
