I have a new business, my first official one, actually. I'm wondering if any of you have any interesting promotional ideas. I have some myself, but a lot of you have been doing this for a long time, and you most certainly know more then me. The site is MrAirsoft.com, so maybe an idea could be related to airsoft?
You could start with Adwords. Also try posting around in the arisoft forums or you could even contact a forum owner and try to sponsor the forum. You could provide discounts to members. This is a great way for the forum owner to give additional incentive for new members and a way for you to attract new customers.
Personally, Id work on the design and layout a bit. Maybe hire a professional designer. If looking for airsoft "things" I wouldnt buy from your store, even if the price was cheaper. As far as promotion is concerned, you can try: google adwords, link purchasing (on targeted sites), article submission, press releases, affiliate program, and direct banner purchases.
offtopic: do you stock non-firing full-sized metal replicas? how heavy is the electric M4A1? been looking for one of those. one suggestion though: include a clause about international purchases. at least include a statement saying where your company will ship to.
i'd say the way to make the most with airsoft is through off line target advertising. You'll probablby want to get into paintball and /or airsoft magazines, it may be pricy. But that is the way to get max profit from your site, be sure you are prepared to go through with that before youdo though. phone lines, functioningh online website with shopping cart etc
It will depend on what kind of business you want to do.If its an e commerece site you might have to hire a proffesional site designer. But if its a normal business you might have to take a different stratagey
first work on your design, it doesn't look pro... and people don't buy from websites like that. Adwords is great for starting a buss good luck!
You should try and get a couple of sign spots at local airsoft and paintball arenas. This would get a good local market, and they can be relatively cheap. If you dont want to pay for the spots, you can try exchanging a few guns for it, since those types of places always need guns for rentals.
You could give promotional pens or promotional items away to customers. Let me know & ill give you a good deal.
I'm not sure if you people are talking about after the redesign of before, so all those design tips, I'm not sure about those. I'll make sure to add a clause about international shipments and shipping and all that. We don't have non-firing replicas. I'm doing a lot of SEO, including directory and article submission, and buying relative links. Where do I submit press releases to? Do people even care about small businesses like mine? I've wrote them before (for other companies), but I never really thought they worked. I will be doing a lot of offline advertising, and thanks for those promotional items sites!
We are talking about the current design on the site. It does not look professional and based on that, I would never buy from your site. Submit your press release to pr.com, prleap.com, AP, and prweb.com. Id also write another, more targeted, press release and submit it to local newspapers. Press releases have to be newsworthy to work. Best of luck!
Hi there, A great free way of promotion would be to submit a couple of articles on your subject matter to ezinearticles.com, then link to the articles from craigslist and usfreeads. This should give them a pretty high ranking with the SE's and can provide lots of free traffic. Oh and don't forget to make sure the articles link back to your site! Hope that's useful
