I have lost $10 on YSM promoting clickbank products but no success :_( Here are the two strategies I tried: Selected upto 5 niche products and very targeted KW's with low bids and low competition.. Almost 10 days passed and I was not getting any sales nor too many clicks and views.. as those targeted words didn't have high search volume. Next I picked up IM product. Got high traffic KW but their bids were too high which I couldn't afford so I kept it to $.50 but same result my bids were so low my ads were not showing So any advice on how you guys launch your profitable campaigns? Thank You!
We're in a similar boat. Some of our keywords never get clicked. Maybe one or two a week. I think twice, they've turned up as sales, but we haven't done any EPC analysis because the volume has been so low. We're keeping our bid at the EPC recommended by CJ. Should we try going higher than that?
All I can say is do your research. I make sales several times a day and about 70% profit. I use low competition niches with good keywords. You have to do some testing and have some skill. I judge my bid by what others are bidding and I go after keywords I know that will bring in sales for me if someone clicks. Understand So I regularly aim for 12 cent clicks but if I see my specific group of keywords the one's I know someone would purchase from my site instead of jus looking at the site, I will bid whatever to match that competitor. You have to test and tweak your campaign and you will know how much you have to bid to get enough traffic and ultimately more sales.

Well statistically you need a certain conversion ratio for it to be profitable. Say 1:200 is your break-even point. If you can track conversions by keywords you,='ll know if it achieves below or above this. Of course if you end up at 1:201 don't kill it but tweak it. If you have a total of 1 sales for 300 clicks, it's not worth it to kill it yet either. 1 sales isn't enough to evaluate a trend. You may get 2 more sales in the next 20 clicks. It's really up to you, depends how much $ you have to tweak and make it better and more profitable.
If you were getting clicks from that high targeted keywords for cheap, you should keep it. That just means your landing page wasn't effective enough. Landing page is more important than a good ad! You have to captivate the attention, and a easy way to test a landing page without paying is organic traffic. If you can't get sales through organic traffic and social marketing, than its your landing pages fault.
