Hey, I started this thread over here a few days ago to get some feedback on my new website efansbuzz.com. I've had a few comments about the site and all have been quite complimentary so I figured it is time to market the site properly. The website offers a few different services including twitter followers, facebook likes etc at good prices. I've had a few orders come through but I know the market is huge and I am looking for ways to gain more exposure to potential customers. Currently; I run a Bing/Yahoo PPC campaign which brings in some traffic, although the traffic does not convert very well so I am continuing to optimise this traffic source for now. I don't want to rely on organic search, so SEO is not an option for me right now. Can anyone offer any ideas to promote this new site to targeted customers. Thanks
I appreciate your comments, but this would lead to the problem of gaining facebook fans who may be interested in the service we offer.
The thing is the services you're offering are not unique, the market is so saturated with the same / similar offers that it is getting harder and harder to compete and be successful in that area. Every day on Twitter I see dozens of services offering Twitter followers. Same with facebook likes. You haven't mentioned fiverr, are you on fiverr? People still flock to fiverr to get those types of things. On a personal note, as much I think your site looks great, you need to upgrade it somewhat. I doesn't look clean. It reminds me of the sites I used to see back in the 90's.
I appreciate your honesty. Yes, I am on Fiverr - but the competition is just as tough there too. As previously mentioned I have PPC ads running on Bing/Yahoo, I'm going to give Facebook ads a try too. Where else do people hear about new websites? For me personally, if I want something/a service I go to Google first every time. Its just a shame Google won't allow this kind of site in their ads.
You may also want to try craigslist and backpage. Backpage will be easy to post your ads on, not so much craigslist, but if you can find a way of doing that you may get some good free traffic.
I've not heard of Backpage before, looks much like a classifieds website - i'm not sure its where people would go to find a service like mine.
It doesn't take much money to host a website. However, the promoting of it can get expensive. You have to be smart about where and how you place all your ads.
I see your thinking here, this would then spread the site by recommendations. I tried to start ads on Facebook but Facebook flagged my account as fraudulent!?! Not sure why, going to try again next week. I'm gaining some traction with bing ads, a few sales are starting to drip through the site now. Hopefully this will get the ball rolling. I was thinking of launching a competition to get free followers etc by tweeting the sites name. Do you think this would work?
This makes sense! You need to convince people that your service is genuine and quality. So you need to build trust in your brand! One idea is to outsource blog posts writing instead spending money on PPC advertising. Having a blog and writing about your potential customers concern and problems is a great idea to build authority and trust nowadays. If you optimize your posts for SEO you could expect also free traffic from Google. You should implement list building on your blog too! Building relationships on social media is also another great way to increase conversions.
agree on creating multiple blogs on the social network niche. Outsource content creation and do serious SEO on them, this will be good in the long run. In the short run: Offer a giveaway on a weekly basis and ask users to share content in order to enter and to subscribe your mailing list. You can offer everything (even followers, fans, etc..), free stuff and so on. EX: Win 10,000 facebook fans to your page, etc..
