How to know whether urls are duplicates ?

First of all , tks to the forum...


Are the 2 below Urls duplicates ?


1/ www.gascognebionature.com/fr/article/fiche_article/38/ ( or after the last slash, you can add anything, you still get the page suc as : ../38/bla-bla-bla )


2/ www.gascognebionature.com/fr/article/fiche_article/38/dalles-liege-sol-clipper-maree.html (url which really exist)


As i 'am not the developper of this website , i'am wondering also is there not a security problem as if you insert any digit (not matching any articles) /fiche_article/ directory you get a very explicit error :

i think problem is in inner code , not .htaccess

 

Use Google Webmaster, It has a specific section for duplicate urls.

you can use canonical tag.by the help of canonical tag search engine cannot find duplicate url.

 

google webmaster tools reporting whether the url is duplicate content or not.

 

Ofcourse ,Google Webmaster tools tells ,what is your url's errors.

But what about the fact that you can add any string (blabla) after the url (here after the "38/")and still get the web page displayed (bug or what ? ) ?
Ex: www.gascognebionature.com/fr/article/fiche_article/38/blablabla
