This is a very good point. It all comes down to excellent copywriting to persuade non-buyers to buyers, and so forth...

Organic traffic is good for High Gravity since the cpc for those keywords are normally quite high; PPC is good for low gravity cos it's cheap so why not? That happens in most cases for me.

    What an interesting dispute...
Alexa, although I value your opinion you have to see the bigger picture. Right now, you are making your judgments based ONLY on your own experiences.

But, there are hundreds of other supper affiliates that are promoting high-gravity products that are making a lot of money. You can't deny this.
And I'm not talking aboutt MMO products.

    So what does this mean?
Everybody has its own approach, and you can't say that your "method" works best, when there are hundreds of other affiliates that disagree with you. In this world, nothing is black or white. there is always a grey area. and that grey area is your own unique approach of promoting products.

To think that only low-gravity products convert , means that you are leaving a lot of $ on the table. And you are loosing a lot. Be more flexible, don't over-judge and you'll earn more! It's simple as that.

    Cheers!
    John

Clickbank gravity is usually a pretty good indicator, but NOT the only indicator when it comes to conversions. I've made daily sales from a product with less then 5 gravity so there are a few diamonds in the rough if you can find them. It's a goldmine if you can find them because they're much less competitive.

Generally speaking, the higher gravity products will convert better, because they have better sales pages which are professionally written.

At the end of the day, there is only one way to find out if a product converts, test it yourself. If the sales page looks good and the product is marketable, then there should be no reason why you can't generate sales.

Makes sense. Have you had much success with this strategy?

Check the alexa ranking is a nice little trick to see how much traffic it is getting... plus do a google search and see how hard affiliates are promoting it. They wont do alot of work if it's not profitable.

Good point! Competition usually suggests there is money to be made in that niche.
