I am waiting patiently for Google's next PR update because I'm excited to see if 2 of my site's have grown in PR level. How do you know when Google releases it, is there a set date?
there is not set date and they are really unpredictable when it comes to update.. but i noticed that they make some update every end of the month..
Google launches it's spider called Google boat with in 15 days to 3 months period of time. Google boat crawls each and every website and blogs and give them ranking according to your site quality, content and backlinks .If you are a spammer or just copied the content or text from other site which is already indexed .It will not considered by Google. If your PR does not changes in that time you need to re set all the plannings and do good seo and use white hat seo techniques only.you will surely get result next time .although nobody knows the exact mathematical concept of Google
Well hang DP enough and you will know that everyone creates are PR UPDATE !!!! thread lol... you only need to visit DP's main page, briefly run your eyes over the Google section and you will hear about it.
no specific date for PR updates sometime it takes 4-5 months and sometime it happens in less than 2 months
It's every 3-4 months. Although that Pagerank is updating daily, but there is just one big update every 3-4 months that is visible. Don't care a lot about it though, just work more on your backlinks to get more traffic instead of to get a higher pagerank which is.. worthless - Aquarezz
As far as i know, There is a daily PR update.. which will be the basis for the Major Update (which will be done on a non-specified date).
I don't think Google will ever reveal it. But it seems it's more frequent than it used to be earlier.
i agree that PR is not a big deal, focus on your traffic. as for Google updates i guess there's no rule, few months ago i was wondering too but couldn't find anything for sure!
last time pagerank upgrde on 28th November cos i get 4 website good pagerank now i think with in 40 to 60 days
I wouldn't worry about PR too much... there was an update about a month ago... and before that, it was a really long span... almost six months (anyone know what it was exactly?). The point is this though... The entire time that there was no PR update, on of my blogs were getting about 10,000 hits a month. After the PR update, it went to pr2... but not traffic increase and no rankings increase (it was already number one for a very good search term). So, I guess what I'm trying to say is... PR is an indicator of how well a page is doing rather than being the cause of well a page does.
I've been off of here for 2 years and it funny how people still obsess about pr updates. Once you start having some success, you won't really care and understand that is does not mean much
